Visitors to test new Tsurumi cutter
pump at IFAT 2010
Tsurumi Europe will
showcase its innovations and capabilities – and 85 years of experience –
providing pumping solutions at IFAT 2010. Leading the global pump
specialist’s display in Munich between 13th and 17th September will be
the launch of a new high-head cutter pump. The CR series is designed for
the smooth and efficient transport of liquids contaminated with solid
matter over long distances. Tsurumi will demonstrate the pump’s ability
to cut up waste material while still transporting liquid by inviting
visitors to throw bottles, clothes, cans, rope, plastic bags, etc. into
the demonstration basin.

‘Die Hard’ Tsurumi pump still
providing consistent service after 22 years
A Tsurumi pump has
continuously served the Dutch rental market since Bruce Willis took the
global box office by storm in ‘Die Hard’. And just like the ‘Die Hard’
movies, Tsurumi’s pump is still going strong. But there is no time to
celebrate two decades in the business, even now the pump is demanded by
customers for a range of construction and maintenance projects in the
Netherlands.

Tsurumi provides “green clean” for
Portuguese landmark
Cleaning any object of
historical or national significance requires precise care and attention
and the right tools for the job. This applies even when the object in
question is a bridge spanning 344m, sitting 60 m above a river. Add in
some strict rules on environmental damage and the challenge looks
daunting. But with the help of Tsurumi pumps the landmark Maria Pia
Bridge in Porto, Portugal got a fresh clean look and an impressive 98%
of water used in the task was removed without disappearing into the
nearby waterways.

Tsurumi innovation extends life of
small wastewater plant in Switzerland
Tsurumi’s FHP decanting
pumps provide a cost effective solution to limited tank capacity in
small wastewater treatment plants. The pumps remove supernatant water to
leave only pure sewage, reducing the overall volume of stored waste and
extending the life of the plant. Iseltwald wastewater plant in
Switzerland uses five FHP pumps for this very purpose.

Tsurumi to represent Primax Pumps in
Europe
Tsurumi Europe has
announced an agreement with Primax Pumps, the Australian pump
manufacturer, to sell its automatic self-priming diesel pumps to
Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. The new pumps are highly
versatile and will complement Tsurumi’s current product range. Tsurumi
Europe will introduce the new pumps at the bauma 2010 trade fair taking
place 19th - 25th April in Munich, Germany.
