Tsurumi promotes pumping prowess at
Bauma 2010
Tsurumi Europe will have
an exciting package of product launches and promotions on display at
Bauma 2010. Chief among them is the arrival of a new dewatering pump and
the launch of an innovative excavator adaptor. The global pump
manufacturer will also showcase models from one of its most popular and
largest ranges.

Tsurumi is market leader in
Switzerland
Tsurumi Pumps has become
firmly established as market leader in the Swiss tunnel construction
industry, having been involved in 140 projects in the past five years.
Efficiency and reliability in different applications mean the company’s
pumps are popular with a host of contractors. At present Tsurumi’s pumps
are being used on the €426m Weinberg Tunnel project in Zurich.

Tsurumi clamps down on illegal
imitators
Tsurumi Pumps is taking
legal action to halt the counterfeiting of its products after a Chinese
company was caught supplying replica Tsurumi pumps into Europe. Tsurumi
successfully sued the importer and the imitated pumps were destroyed.
The company has now announced that it will aggressively pursue all other
copycat suppliers.

Tsurumi calls in the “Puddle Suckers”
for record-breaking tunnel project in Turkey
Tsurumi has placed 90
pumps, including 40 of its LSC series (known as the “Puddle Suckers”),
on the construction of Europe’s first ever intercontinental underwater
rail link. Located in Istanbul, Turkey, the link crosses beneath the
Bosphorus Straits and will be the world’s deepest immersed tube tunnel,
constructed from the largest prefabricated tunnel sections ever built.

Tsurumi pumps are pitch perfect
The structural
modernisation of a building that can host up to 80,000 people is a major
undertaking. When that building is a famous and prestigious sporting
ground, its importance is greatly increased. Three of Ireland’s largest
stadiums - Lansdowne Road, Croke Park and Donnybrook – are three such
venues. All have recently been overhauled and at all Tsurumi Pumps were
chosen for pitch dewatering and sewage handling.

company’s submersible aeration business by 25%, reflecting a growing
demand for advanced water treatment technology.

Tsurumi pumps, Hydreutes, S.A., has reached an important landmark with
the sale of its 2,000th Tsurumi aerator. In achieving this impressive
feat, the company has become Tsurumi Europe’s most successful national
dealership in terms of operational units in the field.

Tsurumi pumps buys French dealership
The European arm of
Japanese pump manufacturer, Tsurumi has announced that it is to take
control of French company CE2A, the long-standing Tsurumi pump
dealership for the French market.
